PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 1997 - SECT 26

Offences relating to inquiries and investigations

(1)  A person, without reasonable excuse, must not fail to –
(a) appear or give evidence if required to do so; or
(b) answer a question; or
(c) take an oath or make an affirmation; or
(d) produce a document.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
(2)  A person appearing at an inquiry or investigation must not knowingly give evidence that is false or misleading.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
(3)  A person must not hinder, obstruct or delay the conduct of an inquiry or investigation.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
