NATIONAL PARKS AND RESERVES MANAGEMENT ACT 2002 - SECT 36

36. Prohibition on destroying trees

A person must not cut down a tree, or damage or otherwise destroy a tree or a fallen tree, that is on reserved land without the approval of the managing authority.

Penalty:

Fine not exceeding 500 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.
