MINERAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 67B
Holder of licence may consent to other person applying for production licence
(1) The holder of an exploration licence, or a special exploration licence, in relation to a Category 4 mineral may, by notice in writing to another person, consent to the other person applying, either alone or in conjunction with the holder, for a petroleum production licence that is to relate to both (a) the minerals, or category of minerals, specified in the exploration licence or special exploration licence; and(b) any area of land comprised in that licence.(2) The holder of an exploration licence, or a special exploration licence, in relation to a Category 6 mineral may, by notice in writing to another person, consent to the other person applying, either alone or in conjunction with the holder, for a geothermal production licence that is to relate to both (a) the minerals, or category of minerals, specified in the exploration licence or special exploration licence; and(b) any area of land comprised in that licence.(3) A person to whom a notice of consent is given under subsection (1) or (2) is to provide the Registrar with a copy of that notice within 14 days of the date of the notice.
