LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 - SECT 35

A single authority or joint authoritymay –

(a) acquire, hold, dispose of or otherwise deal with property; and

(b) sue and be sued in its corporate name; and

(c) perform any function or exercise any power specified in this Act or any other Act or in its rules.
