Tasmanian Consolidated Acts
(1) A person may make a complaint to a council in relation to an alleged failure of a councillor to comply with any provision of the code of conduct.
(2) A complaint is to be
(a) made and lodged in the prescribed manner; and
(b) referred to the Code of Conduct Panel or a Standards Panel as prescribed; and
(c) heard and determined as prescribed.
(3) A complainant or a councillor who is the subject of a complaint may appeal in the prescribed manner against a decision of the Code of Conduct Panel made in respect of that complaint.
(4) An appeal under subsection (3) is to be heard and determined by a Standards Panel as prescribed.
(5) Regulations may prescribe fees in respect of
(a) the making of a complaint; and
(b) the lodging of an appeal; and
(c) the referral of a complaint.
