LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 - SECT 238
Minutes
(1) Any of the following is evidence of any election or appointment of a councillor or employee or proceedings at a meeting of a council or council committee:(a) a duly confirmed entry in the minutes of the council or committee; or(b) a certified copy of, or extract from, an entry in the minutes of the council sealed with the seal of the council and signed by one of the following:(i) the mayor;(ii) the chairperson;(iii) the general manager.(2) For a document to be evidence under this section, it is not necessary to prove any of the following:(a) that a meeting referred to in the document was duly convened or held;(b) that the persons attending the meeting were councillors or members of the committee to which the entry relates;(c) the signature of the mayor, deputy mayor, chairperson or general manager;(d) that any person is or was the mayor, deputy mayor or general manager.
