LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 - SECT 220
Representation
(1) A person summoned to attend before a Board of Inquiry may, with the approval of the Board of Inquiry, be represented by a legal practitioner or agent.(2) A legal practitioner or agent who represents any person may examine witnesses and address the Board of Inquiry on behalf of the person.(3) Nothing in this section (a) entitles a legal practitioner or agent who represents a person to cross-examine a witness without the permission of the Board of Inquiry; or(b) requires the Board of Inquiry to permit the cross-examination of a witness by such a legal practitioner or agent.
