LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1993 - SECT 160
Alterations to proposed by-law
If a council decides to alter a by-law it proposes to make(a) it may do so by absolute majority; and(b) does not need to give public notice unless the alteration substantially changes the purpose, or the effect on the public, of the proposed by-law.
