Tasmanian Consolidated Acts
(1) If it considers it urgently necessary to do so, a corporation may, without a scheme, carry out in a street any part of the works referred to in section 67, and the cost of carrying out those works may be included in a scheme subsequently made by the corporation in respect of the remainder of those works carried out in that street, and, with any necessary modifications, this Part applies to the scheme as if the part of the works previously carried out were part of the works to be authorized by the scheme.
(2) The corporation shall maintain any works carried out under this section as if those works were part of a local highway maintainable by the corporation.
(3) A corporation that carries out any works in a street under this section or maintains any of those works does not, by reason of carrying out or maintaining those works, incur any liability to maintain the street.
