LANDLORD AND TENANT ACT 1935 - SECT 55

55. Application of proceeds

The money to arise from such sale shall be applied in satisfaction of the charges of making the distress and sale and of the sum demanded; and the overplus, if any, shall be forthwith paid to the said tenant or owner, and the person causing such distress to be made shall deliver, if demanded at any time within 30 days from the time of such sale, a true account in writing of such sale.

Penalty:

Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.
