GAMING CONTROL ACT 1993 - SECT 76ZQ
Limits on use of player's funds
A licensed provider must not have recourse to funds held on behalf of a registered player except for one or more of the following purposes:(a) to debit from those funds the amount of a wager made by the player in, or the amount the person has indicated he or she wants to wager in the course of, a gaming activity conducted by the provider;(b) to remit some or all of those funds to the player at his or her request;(c) as otherwise authorised by or under this Act.Penalty: In the case of (a) a first offence a fine not exceeding 600 penalty units; and(b) a second or subsequent offence a fine not exceeding 1 000 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.
