FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 1991 - SECT 46

46. How amendments to be made

If an agency or Minister agrees to amend information in accordance with a request made under section 37 the amendment may take the form of a notation of the original document but no amendment is to be made which –

(a) deletes or expunges the information which has been amended; or

(b) unless the Archives Office agrees – destroys the document.
