FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND AUDIT ACT 1990 - SECT 19

19. Public money to be credited to the Public Account

(1) All public money collected or received by an Agency shall, except as otherwise provided in any other written law, be credited to the Public Account.

(2) Where an Agency is unable to determine correctly the purpose for which any money has been paid to that Agency, the money shall be retained in the Agency's clearing account until that purpose has been determined.
