EVIDENCE ACT 2001 - SECT 194J

Printing and publication of certain evidence prohibited

(1)  If a court is of the opinion that the printing or publication of any evidence or argument or particulars of any evidence or argument in a case before it may prejudice, or is likely to prejudice, the fair trial of the case, the court may forbid the printing or publication of the evidence, argument or particulars.
(2)  A person who prints or publishes or causes to be printed or published anything in contravention of subsection (1) commits a contempt of court and is liable to punishment for that contempt as if it had been committed in the face of the court against which the contempt is committed.

Note: This section does not appear in the Evidence Act 1995 of the Commonwealth.
