COOPERATIVES ACT 1999 - SECT 86

86. Orders that the Supreme Court may make

On application under this Division, the Supreme Court may make any order that it thinks fit including (without being limited to) one or more of the following orders:

(a) an order that the Commissioner appoint an administrator of the cooperative;

(b) an order that the cooperative be wound-up;

(c) an order for regulating the conduct of affairs of the cooperative in the future;

(d) an order for the repayment of the member's shares in accordance with the provisions of this Act for repayment of share capital;

(e) an order for the purchase of the shares of any member by the cooperative and for the reduction accordingly of the cooperative's capital;

(f) an order directing the cooperative to institute, prosecute, defend or discontinue specified proceedings, or authorising a member or members of the cooperative to institute, prosecute, defend or discontinue specified proceedings in the name and on behalf of the cooperative;

(g) an order appointing a receiver or a receiver and manager of property of the cooperative;

(h) an order restraining a person from engaging in specified conduct or from doing a specified act or thing;

(i) an order directing a cooperative to become registered as a company under the Corporations Act;

(j) an order requiring a person to do a specified act or thing;

(k) an order as to costs.
