A person must not make, or cause to be made, a statement or representation that the person knows or believes to be false or misleading in a material particular when –
(a) making an application under this Act; or
(b) providing his or her name and address or any document, return or record under this Act; or
(c) keeping any record under this Act.
Penalty:
Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
