WATER MANAGEMENT AMENDMENT BILL 2006

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the Water Management Act 1999
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Water Management
Amendment Act 2006.
2. Commencement
This Act is taken to have commenced on
1 October 2006.
3. Principal Act
In this Act, the Water Management Act 1999* is
referred to as the Principal Act.

4. Section 79 amended (Fees for licences)
Section 79(1) of the Principal Act is amended by
omitting "granting and holding" and substituting
"granting, holding, administration or
management".
5. Section 304 amended (Fees and charges)
Section 304(1) of the Principal Act is amended
as follows:
(a) by omitting from paragraph (e) "Act."
and substituting "Act; and";
(b) by inserting the following paragraph after
paragraph (e):
(f) the granting, holding,
administration or management of
licences.
