THREATENED SPECIES PROTECTION (REMOVE FORESTRY EXEMPTIONS) AMENDMENT BILL 2003 (Brought in by Margaret Ann Putt MHA) A BILL FOR An Act to amend the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 in order to remove forestry exemptions and to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995. Be it enacted by His Excellency The Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows: PART 1 ­ PRELIMINARY Short Title 1. This Act may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection (Remove Forestry Exemptions) Amendment Act 2003. Commencement 2. This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. Principal Act 3. In this Act the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act.

 


 

PART 2 ­ THREATENED SPECIES PROTECTION ACT 1995 AMENDED Section 51 amended (repeal of subsection 3) 4. Section 51 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing subsection 3.
