INLAND FISHERIES AMENDMENT BILL 2008

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the Inland Fisheries Act 1995
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Inland Fisheries
Amendment Act 2008.
2. Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which the
Living Marine Resources Management
Amendment Act 2008 commences.
3. Principal Act
In this Act, the Inland Fisheries Act 1995* is
referred to as the Principal Act.

4. Section 4 amended (Freshwater fish)
Section 4(1)(b) of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting "during any time they are outside
inland waters" and substituting "during any time
they are in, or after they have been taken from,
State waters".
