(MISCELLANEOUS AMENDMENTS) BILL 2009

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the State's health professionals
registration Acts to allow for further successive terms of
office and for related purposes
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Health
Professionals Registration (Miscellaneous
Amendments) Act 2009.
2. Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent.
3. Consequential amendments
The legislation specified in Schedule 1 is
amended as specified in that Schedule.

4. Repeal of Act
This Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from
the day on which it commences.

Chiropractors and Osteopaths Registration Act 1997
1. Clause 1(2) of Schedule 1 is amended by
omitting "2" and substituting "3".
Dental Practitioners Registration Act 2001
1. Clause 1(2) of Schedule 1 is amended by
omitting "2" and substituting "3".
Dental Prosthetists Registration Act 1996
1. Clause 1(2) of Schedule 1 is amended by
omitting "2" and substituting "3".
Medical Practitioners Registration Act 1996
1. Clause 1(3) of Schedule 1 is amended by
omitting "10" and substituting "12".
