CROWN LAND (PARLIAMENTARY PRECINCT
REDEVELOPMENT) AMENDMENT BILL 2009

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the Crown Land (Parliamentary Precinct
Redevelopment) Act 2009
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Crown Land
(Parliamentary Precinct Redevelopment)
Amendment Act 2009.
2. Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which this
Act receives the Royal Assent.

3. Principal Act
In this Act, the Crown Land (Parliamentary
Precinct Redevelopment) Act 2009* is referred
to as the Principal Act.
4. Section 10 amended (Limitation on sale of adjoining
laneway)
Section 10(2) of the Principal Act is amended as
follows:
(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) "6 sitting
days" and substituting "9 sitting-days";
(b) by omitting from paragraph (c)(iii) "6
sitting days" and substituting "9 sitting-
days".
5. Section 13 substituted
Section 13 of the Principal Act is repealed and
the following section is substituted:
13. Regulations
(1) The Governor may make regulations for
the purposes of this Act.
(2) The regulations may be made so as to
apply differently according to matters,
limitations or restrictions, whether as to

time, circumstance or otherwise,
specified in the regulations.
(3) The regulations may authorise any matter
to be from time to time determined,
applied, approved or regulated by the
Minister, Director-General of Lands or
Recorder of Titles.
(4) The regulations may
(a) provide for savings or transitional
matters necessary or expedient
for bringing this Act into
operation; and
(b) provide for any of those savings
or transitional matters to take
effect on the commencement day
or on a later day specified in the
regulations, whether the day so
specified is before, on or after the
day on which the regulations are
made.
6. Repeal of Act
This Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from
the day on which it commences.
