CIVIL LIABILITY AMENDMENT BILL (No. 2)

A BILL FOR
An Act to amend the Civil Liability Act 2002
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania,
by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled,
as follows:
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Civil Liability Amendment
Act (No. 2) 2003.
Commencement
2. This Act is taken to have commenced on the day on
which the Civil Liability Amendment Act 2003
commenced.
Principal Act
3. In this Act, the Civil Liability Act 2002* is referred to
as the Principal Act.

Section 4 amended (Application of Act)
4. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting from subsection (2) "before" and
substituting "whether before or after";
(b) by inserting the following subsection after
subsection (2):
(3) Parts 6 to 11 inclusive do not apply
to a cause of action accrued before 4 July 2003.
