(SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION FOR 2007-
2008) BILL 2008

A BILL FOR
An Act for the appropriation of money out of the
Consolidated Fund for the service of the financial year
ending 30 June 2008 for the purpose of making
contributions to Division 3, Finance-General, Division 4,
Department of Health and Human Services, and Division
10, Department of Primary Industries and Water, of Part 2
of Schedule 1 to the Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act
(No. 1) 2007
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and
House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund
Appropriation (Supplementary Appropriation for
2007-2008) Act 2008.
2. Commencement
This Act is taken to have commenced on
1 July 2007.

3. Issue and appropriation of $482 250 000
(1) In respect of the financial year ending on
30 June 2008, the Treasurer may issue the sum
of $482 250 000 out of the Consolidated Fund.
(2) The sum specified in subsection (1) is
appropriated.
4. Purposes of appropriation
(1) The sum of $312 900 000 is to be applied to
Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Finance-General, representing a Works
and Services appropriation for the purpose of
making a contribution to an account in the
Special Deposits and Trust Fund titled the
Infrastructure Tasmania Fund.
(2) The sum of $75 000 000 is to be applied to
Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Finance-General, representing a Works
and Services appropriation for the purpose of
making a contribution to an account in the
Special Deposits and Trust Fund titled the
Hospitals Capital Fund.
(3) The sum of $60 000 000 is to be applied to
Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Finance-General, representing a Works
and Services appropriation for the purpose of

making a contribution to an account in the
Special Deposits and Trust Fund titled the
Housing Fund.
(4) The sum of $25 200 000 is to be applied to
Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Finance-General, representing a Works
and Services appropriation.
(5) The sum of $5 900 000 is to be applied to
Division 4 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Department of Health and Human
Services, representing a Works and Services
appropriation.
(6) The sum of $3 250 000 is to be applied to
Division 10 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the
Consolidated Fund Appropriation Act (No. 1)
2007, Department of Primary Industries and
Water, representing a Recurrent Services
appropriation.
