ANTI-DISCRIMINATION (REMOVE AGE LIMIT) AMENDMENT BILL

A Bill for
An Act to amend the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 by removing the exemption which allows
discrimination on the basis of age in regard to both voluntary or compulsory retirement.
Be it enacted by his Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with their advice and consent of
the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
Short Title
1. This Act may be cited as the Anti-Discrimination (Remove Age Limit)Amendment Act 2004.
Commencement
2. This Act commences on the day on which it is proclaimed.
Principal Act
3. In this Act, the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 is referred to as the Principal Act.
