HARBORS AND NAVIGATION REGULATIONS 1994 - REG 105
(1) The registration
label of a vessel must be affixed adjacent to the vessel's steering position
so as to be clearly visible and legible in daylight.
(1a) Despite
subregulation (1), a registration label is not required to be affixed to
a vessel if—
(a)
payment of the fees payable for registration of the vessel was made by mail,
telephone or the Internet; and
(b) the
registration label has not been received by the registered owner of the vessel
or his or her agent; and
(c) not
more than 21 days have elapsed from the date the payment was made.
(2) A vessel must not
have affixed or displayed on it—
(a) a
registration label issued in respect of another vessel; or
(b) a
label that could be mistaken for a registration label issued under these
regulations.
(3) If a vessel does
not have a label affixed to it as required by this regulation or has a label
affixed to, or displayed on, it contrary to this regulation, the owner of the
vessel is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $750.
Expiation fee: $105.
(4) If a vessel is
operated in the jurisdiction without a label affixed to it as required by this
regulation or with a label affixed to, or displayed on, it contrary to this
regulation, the operator of the vessel is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $750.
