WORKERS REHABILITATION AND COMPENSATION ACT 1986 - SECT 76AA

76AA—Discontinuance fee

        (1)         An employer who—

            (a)         ceases to be registered under section 59

(including in a case where the employer is then registered as a self-insured employer under section 60

); or

            (b)         ceases to be registered under section 60

(but not including in a case where the employer is then registered under section 59

),

is liable to pay to the Corporation a fee calculated in accordance with the regulations.

        (2)         A fee payable under subsection (1)

is a debt due to the Corporation and may be recovered by the Corporation in a court of competent jurisdiction.
