Controlled Substances (Serious Drug Offences) Amendment
Act (Commencement) Proclamation 2006
This proclamation may be cited as the Controlled Substances (Serious
Drug Offences) Amendment Act (Commencement)
Proclamation 2006.
2—Commencement of Act and
suspension of certain provisions
(1) The Controlled Substances (Serious Drug Offences) Amendment Act
2005 (No 80 of 2005) (the Amendment Act) will come into
operation on 12 January 2006.
(2) The operation of sections 4(1), (3) and (5) to (12) (inclusive), 7 to
11 (inclusive), 13 to 17 (inclusive), 19(1), (3) and (4), 20, 22, 29 and 30 and
Schedule 1 of the Amendment Act are suspended until a day or time or days or
times to be fixed by subsequent proclamation or proclamations.
