(1) Section
3—after the definition of "damages" insert:
"domestic partner", in relation to any cause of action arising under this Act,
means a person declared under the Family Relationships Act 1975 to have
been a domestic partner on the day on which the cause of action arose;
(2) Section 3,
definition of "putative spouse"—delete the definition
(3) Section 3,
definition of "spouse"—delete the definition and substitute:
"spouse", in relation to any cause of action arising under this Act, means a
person who was legally married to another on the day on which the cause of
action arose;
