STATUTES AMENDMENT (DOMESTIC PARTNERS) ACT 2006 (NO 43 OF 2006) - SECT 171

171—Amendment of section 3—Interpretation

        (1)         Section 3(1)—after the definition of "breach of discipline insert:

"close relative" of a person means a spouse, domestic partner, parent or child of the person;

        (2)         Section 3(1)—after the definition of "conduct" insert:

"domestic partner" means a person who is a domestic partner within the meaning of the Family Relationships Act 1975 , whether declared as such under that Act or not;

        (3)         Section 3(1)—after the definition of "prescribed officer or employee insert:

"spouse"—a person is the spouse of another if they are legally married;
