South Australian Consolidated Regulations34—Taking water by means of a portable hydrant
(1) The Corporation
may, on the application of a person and payment of the fee prescribed by
regulation 29, authorise the person to take water from the waterworks by
means of a portable hydrant supplied by the Corporation.
(2) The taking of
water pursuant to an authorisation under subregulation (1) is subject
to—
(a)
payment at the agreed rate for the water taken and the charge prescribed by
regulation 29 for the hire of the hydrant; and
(b) such
terms and conditions relating to the taking of the water or the use of the
hydrant as are determined by the Corporation.
(3) Where a person
contravenes, or fails to comply with, a term or condition referred to in
subregulation (2)—
(a) the
person is guilty of an offence; and
(b) the
Corporation may seize the hydrant.
(4) A person must not
use a portable hydrant supplied by the Corporation in a manner that is likely
to damage the hydrant.
