OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE REGULATIONS 1995 - REG 1.3.7

1.3.7—Employer action on reports

        (1)         An employer must ensure that when the employer is notified of a hazardous situation, appropriate action is taken, so far as is reasonably practicable, to eliminate or control any risk associated with that situation.

Penalty: Division 6 fine.

        (2)         If an employee suffers a work-related injury, the employer must ensure that a record of the injury is made, and that the record is kept for at least three years after the date of the injury.

Penalty: Division 6 fine.
