South Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) Money standing to
the credit of the Fund on account of a payment into the Fund under Part 2 of
these regulations must, as far as practicable, be used—
(a) to
establish or regenerate native vegetation on land that is within the same
region of the State as the land that is to be cleared by virtue of the
exemption under that Part and that has been selected by the Council for that
purpose after having regard to the Regional Biodiversity Plan or Plans (if
any) approved by the Minister that apply within that region; and
(b) to
preserve and maintain that vegetation once established or reinstated.
(2) Other money
standing to the credit of the Fund may be used or made available for any costs
associated with research, promotional activities, investigations or other
activities that, in the opinion of the Minister, will further the objects of
the Act.
