South Australian Consolidated Acts19—Power to compel the giving of evidence
(1) A person who is
called to give evidence or to produce evidentiary material before the Court
and—
(a)
refuses or fails to make an oath or affirmation when required to do so by the
Court; or
(b)
refuses or fails to give evidence on a subject on which that person is
compellable to give evidence; or
(c)
refuses or fails, without reasonable excuse, to produce evidentiary material
that the person is required by the Court to produce,
commits a contempt of the Court.
(2) This section
applies whether the person was summoned before the Court, brought before the
Court on a warrant, or came to the Court of his or her own volition.
