South Australian Consolidated Acts48—Payments by Corporation on behalf of defaulting employer
(1) Where an employer
fails to make a payment of compensation that the employer is liable to make
under this Act, the Corporation shall make that payment on behalf of the
employer.
(2) Where the
Corporation makes a payment of compensation under this section, the
Corporation is entitled to recover from the employer as a debt—
(a) the
amount of the payment; and
(b) an
administration fee fixed in accordance with the regulations,
(and the Corporation shall take all reasonable steps to recover that debt).
