South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) If an application
is made for statutory compensation in respect of injury suffered by a victim,
financial loss suffered by a dependant, or grief suffered by a spouse,
domestic partner or parent, in consequence of an offence committed by more
than one offender, the court may make only one order for statutory
compensation in respect of that injury, loss or grief.
(2) If an application
is made for statutory compensation in respect of injury suffered by a victim,
financial loss suffered by a dependant, or grief suffered by a spouse,
domestic partner or parent—
(a) in
consequence of a series of offences committed consecutively by one offender,
or a series of offences committed simultaneously or consecutively by offenders
acting in concert; or
(b) in
circumstances in which those offences constitute a single incident,
the court may make only one order for statutory compensation in respect of the
injury, loss or grief.
