82—The registrar
(1) There shall be a
registrar of the court.
(2) No registrar shall
be appointed, dismissed or reduced in status, nor shall the office of
registrar be abolished, except upon the recommendation, or with the
concurrence, of the Chief Justice.
(3) The registrar is
the court's principal administrative officer.
(3a) The registrar
may, in addition to exercising the functions and duties assigned to him or her
by this Act or any other Act, exercise any procedural or non-judicial powers
of the court assigned by the Chief Justice or by rules of court under this or
any other Act.
(4) The registrar
shall, in relation to the performance and discharge of his functions and
duties (so far as they relate to the business of the court), be subject to the
control and direction of the Chief Justice.
