South Australian Consolidated Acts9—Radiation Protection Committee
(1) The Radiation
Protection Committee is established.
(2) The Committee
consists of ten members appointed by the Governor, of whom—
(a) one
(the presiding member) must be an officer or employee of the Department; and
(b) one
must be a radiologist; and
(c) one
must be a radiographer with expertise in the field of human diagnostic
radiography; and
(d) one
must be a person with expertise in the industrial uses of radiation; and
(e) one
must be a person with expertise in the scientific uses of radiation; and
(f) one
must be a person with expertise in the field of health physics; and
(g) one
must be a medical practitioner with expertise in the field of nuclear
medicine; and
(h) one
must be a person with expertise in the mining and milling of radioactive ores;
and
(i)
one must be a person with expertise in the field of
genetics and a knowledge of radiation genetics; and
(j) one
must be a person with expertise in the field of environmental sciences.
