Upon the appearance before the Court of any person summoned or brought up by
virtue of a warrant as aforesaid, it shall be lawful for the Court to examine
such person upon oath, and to order him to deliver up such certificate or
other instrument, and, upon refusal or neglect by such person to deliver up
the same pursuant to such order, to commit him to gaol for any period not
exceeding six months, unless such certificate or instrument shall be sooner
delivered up.
