This Act does not apply to any thing done or omitted to be done—
(a) by a
legally qualified medical practitioner in the ordinary course of medical
practice; or
(b) by a
student or teacher, in the course of study or research being undertaken at any
university, institute of technology, school or other prescribed institution.
