South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Where the lessee
or former lessee under a pastoral lease vacates the land leaving behind
property, the Minister may, by notice in writing, require him or her to remove
the property within a stipulated period.
(2) If the notice is
not complied with within the stipulated period, the Minister may remove and
dispose of the property.
(3) Any costs incurred
by the Minister under subsection (2) that are not covered by the proceeds
(if any) of the sale of the property may be recovered as a debt from the
person to whom the notice under subsection (1) was given.
(4) Any surplus
proceeds of the sale of the property must be paid to the lessee or former
lessee.
