PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) ACT 1982 - SECT 123
123—Interference with other rights
A person carrying on operations in the adjacent area under a permit, lease,
licence, pipeline licence, special prospecting authority, access authority or
instrument of consent under section 59(2) or (3) or under
section 122 shall carry on those operations in a manner that does not
interfere with—
(a)
navigation; or
(b)
fishing; or
(c) the
conservation of the resources of the sea and sea-bed; or
(d) any
operations of another person being lawfully carried on by way of exploration
for, recovery of or conveyance of a mineral, whether petroleum or not, or by
way of construction or operation of a pipeline,
to a greater extent than is necessary for the reasonable exercise of the
rights and performance of the duties of that firstmentioned person.
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
