(1) The Commissioner
must constitute within the police force a separate branch to carry out
investigations under this Act in relation to the conduct of
designated officers.
(2) In addition to
carrying out investigations under this Act, the internal investigation branch
may carry out such other investigations in relation to the conduct of
designated officers as may be required by the Commissioner.
