MOTOR VEHICLES ACT 1959 - SECT 10A
10A—Exemption of vehicles being loaded or unloaded from transporter
(1) A motor vehicle
may be driven without registration on roads if—
(a) the
vehicle is driven for the purpose of loading it onto, or unloading it from, a
transporter; and
(b) the
vehicle is driven not more than 500 metres from the transporter.
(2) When a
motor vehicle is being driven on a road as authorised by subsection (1),
the policy of insurance in force under Part 4 in relation to the transporter
is to be taken to be in force and extend in its coverage in relation to the
vehicle being driven and its owner and driver and any passenger in or on it.
(3) In this
section—
"transporter" means a motor vehicle (not including a towtruck but including a
trailer attached to a motor vehicle) designed for the transportation of
motor vehicles.
