The provisions of sections 28 and 29 shall not apply to the maintenance
or repair (being maintenance or repair not involving realignment) of the road
described in Schedule 3 provided that materials used in the course of the
maintenance or repair of the road are not taken from any part of the lands
that lie outside the road reserve.
