South Australian Consolidated Acts20—Use of roads to traverse the lands
(1) Notwithstanding
the other provisions of this Division, a person (other than a traditional
owner) shall be entitled to use a prescribed road subject to the following
conditions:
(a) that
the use of the road is limited to that involved in, or reasonably associated
with, traversing the land; and
(b) that
the person gives Maralinga Tjarutja reasonable prior notice of the time and
place of his entry upon and departure from the lands.
(2) Where a person
contravenes or fails to comply with a condition referred to in
subsection (1), he shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a penalty
not exceeding two thousand dollars.
(3) For the purposes
of this section—
"prescribed road" means a road delineated in the map in Schedule 2 including
land on either side of the road to a distance of not more than one hundred
metres from the centre of that road.
