South Australian Consolidated Acts40—Illegal holding out as registered person
(1) A person must not
hold himself or herself out as a registered medical student,
medical practitioner, specialist or a specialist of a particular class, or
permit another person to do so, unless registered on the appropriate register
and, in the case of a specialist of a particular class, in the specialty
relevant to that class.
Maximum penalty: $50 000 or imprisonment for 6 months.
(2) A person must not
hold out another as a registered medical student, medical practitioner,
specialist or a specialist of a particular class unless the other person is
registered on the appropriate register and, in the case of a specialist of a
particular class, in the specialty relevant to that class.
Maximum penalty: $50 000 or imprisonment for 6 months.
