South Australian Consolidated Acts34—Duty to maintain confidentiality
(1) A person engaged
in the administration of this Act who divulges any personal information
relating to a person in respect of whom any proceedings or other action has
been taken under this Act (being information obtained in the course of that
administration) is guilty of an offence.
Penalty: Division 5 fine.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not prevent a person from—
(a)
divulging information if authorised or required to do so by law or by his or
her employer; or
(b)
divulging statistical or other data that could not reasonably be expected to
lead to the identification of any person to whom it relates.
