South Australian Consolidated Acts10—Particulars relating to admission of patients to approved treatment
centres
(1) Where, in the
opinion of the Minister, a person seeking information under this section has a
proper interest in the matter, he or she must inform the inquirer—
(a) as
to whether or not a particular person has been admitted to, or is being
detained in, an approved treatment centre under this Act; and
(b) if
so, the date of the person's admission and (where applicable) the date of his
or her discharge or death.
(2) The director of an
approved treatment centre must, upon the discharge of a patient from the
centre, furnish the patient, upon request, free of charge, with a copy of any
orders, certificates or authorisations upon which he or she was admitted,
detained or treated.
