South Australian Consolidated Acts South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
by notice in the Gazette, declare mineral land within a precious stones field
to be an opal development area for the purposes of this Act, and the
declaration will have effect according to its terms.
(2) A person must not
carry out mining operations in an opal development area except under the
authority of miner's right, exploration licence or mining lease under this
Act.
(3) The Minister may,
by subsequent notice in the Gazette, vary or revoke a declaration under
subsection (1).
