South Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to
subsection (1a), five members of the Commission constitute a quorum of
the Commission.
(1a) For the purposes
of hearing an appeal against a decision of the Director, three members of
the Commission constitute a quorum of the Commission.
(2) A decision carried
by a majority of the votes cast by the members present at a meeting of
the Commission is a decision of the Commission.
(3) Each member of
the Commission is entitled to one vote on any matter arising for the decision
of the Commission and, in the event of an equality of votes, the person
presiding at the meeting has a second or casting vote.
(4) The Chairman will
preside at any meeting of the Commission at which he or she is present and, in
the absence of the Chairman, the members present will decide who is to preside
at that meeting.
(5) Subject to this
Act, the Commission may conduct its business in a manner determined by
the Commission.
